What We Do
At Jackson County Developmental Center, Inc. (JCDC), we have a set of quality standards and clearly stated goals designed to make JCDC a great place to work as we support people with disabilities. This also means that we have provided, and will continue to provide high quality products and services to long-term customers such as Toyota Manufacturing of West Virginia, Kimberly-Clark, Constellium Rolled Products, and the West Virginia Division of Highways.
This also means we have to simply “do it right” – the first time, on time, with no excuses. We have learned that regardless of JCDC’s status as a not-for-profit business, people will only buy our products and services, if they meet the intended need and expectation of that product or service.
By doing it right, we will create an opportunity for individuals to earn above minimum wage with certain benefits commonly available to people without disabilities. JCDC will offer an opportunity for training that could open additional doors for employment with other for-profit companies.
We are currently working on several entrepreneurial ventures allowing us to be more self-sufficient.
