About JCDC

Since Since 1979, JCDC’s purpose is to assist people with disabilities with support in their life and in employment, both with sheltered employment and community based employment. We help individuals find, obtain & retain jobs in their communities. We help families by simply offering a safe place during the day, or helping individuals grow into being who they want to be.
JCDC is a social entrepreneurial mission-based business. We are a not-for-profit organization that takes risks on behalf of the people JCDC serves. This means:
- We look for new ways to serve people with disabilities by offering them training and employment opportunities otherwise not open to them.
- We are willing to take a reasonable risk on behalf of people with disabilities to improve their vocational opportunities.
- We understand the difference between wants and needs; of the corporation, its customers, the people it serves, and its employees.
- We understand that all resource allocations are really stewardship investments.
- We weigh the social and financial return of each of these investments.
- We always keep mission first, and that without money, there is no mission result.
JCDC does not think of itself as a charity – rather as business engaged in improving the lives of people with disabilities. Examples include, supporting them in their homes 24/7, or by creating employment opportunities through training activities and meaningful employment. We support people that society in general does not support in the basics of life.
